AHhhhhhh! It's like a dream come true! H&M just released that Alber Elbaz will be creating a Lanvin line for them. I can't even wait! I'm so glad this rumour turned out to be true!!!!!!

“H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a wider audience, not just a dress for less. I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world.”

-Alber Elbaz, artistic director of Lanvin. The line will hit stores in November. Life is so, so, good!

Also awesome, The Chains of Love's Melissa Barber. I moderately attacked her with compliments (again, sorry for being way too excited about your bag Melissa) but SERIOUSLY look at it! And her! You might know The Chains of Love through The Cherry Blossom Girl, Late Afternoon, and even Krystal Simpson. Let me tell ya, her designs are even more spectacular in person.

Also on the meet and greet was designer Ashley Rowe. Number one, she liked my shoes, bonding us together for life, and number two, she designed those sick splatter boots down there. The runway show consisted of shoes that had been made over by a slew of different people. It was amazing. Seriously, even if some of the dresses were made out of plastic bags, I was all over that. Ashley Rowe is kind of a big deal to be honest, and I'm sad to say that I only talked to her about buying shoes from South Korea instead of her line. Next time.

I met Shawna Robinson of Label. Loved her shoes - pony hair/wooden wedge heel and she has a lot of awesome pieces at her store. Foxy Originals were there too, and so was Salem Moussallam from Remixclothing.ca. Check him out, he's bringing a RentTheRunway sort of deal to Toronto. And I'm definitely going to be taking advantage of it.
